Resolving Error “QA services environment variable is enabled” while opening Discovery products

      Problem: After installing discovery products, when launched an error stating  “The application cannot be run at this time because the ENABLE_ANSYS_QA_SERVICES environment variable is enabled. This application is not supported in the scope of an ANSYS QA Services agreement” is displayed.

      Cause: This happens when the ‘Enable QA services with supported applications’ option is selected during installation, and Discovery products are not a supported application in the scope of QA services agreement yet.

      Recommended solution: Please open the Environment Variables in the control panel (Control Panel>System and Security>System>Advanced system settings>Environment variables) and check if there is any variable named “ENABLE_ANSYS_QA_SERVICES” and delete it.

      If the above environment variable is not available, then the user will have to uninstall and reinstall Discovery again, while making sure the ‘Enable QA services with supported applications (QA services agreement required)’ option is deselected and then proceed with the installation.
