Problem: Cannot edit or see the material properties when doubled clicked the LMB (Left mouse button) on it from the physics tree, only Appearance and Information is displayed without the actual physical properties.
Cause: The materials defined in Discovery have all the properties relevant to all the physics environments defined, and they are filtered based on the type of physics environment chosen.
Solution: Since Discovery filters the material properties based on the physics environment chosen (Structural, Fluids, solid thermal, etc.), the material properties appear when any boundary condition is defined.
- For example, Once fixed supports are defined, Discovery recognizes that as structural physics simulation and filters out properties for structural steel, relevant to structural analysis. Now, upon double-clicking LMB on the materials defined in the physics tree, you can see the material properties.
