This document described the minimum technical skills required to perform the onboarding of

Ansys Gateway powered by AWS available on AWS Marketplace.

Minimum Technical Skills & Permissions required	Domain	Training
Creation of an Organization Unit (OU) in Active Directory hosted on a Windows server (AD server can be hosted either on premise or on AWS)	Windows
Access a Windows server certified with SSL X509 certificate to host the Ansys Gateway Active Directory connector. (AD Connector server can be hosted either on premise or on AWS	Windows or AWS
Open inbound and outbound network ports for access to AD server and AD Connector server	Network
Create or allocate a SSL X509 certificate to a server	Windows
Understand overall AWS architecture and main services	AWS	(1) (5)
Create a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)	AWS	(2) (3) (4) (6) (7)
Configure DNS and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) options for the VPC	AWS	(8)
Define EC2 quotas for an AWS region	AWS
