Error while solving Optimetrics

      Hello

I have been trying to obtain the thrust vs velocity characteristics of a linear motor, for which I created a parameter vel in the Motion Setup. The simulation runs for the initial value of vel = 0 m/s, but gives the following errors when optimetrics is set up to solve for velocities varying from 0 to 9 m/s, in steps of 1 m/s:

[info] Parametric Analysis is done. (3:093 PM  Feb 20, 2019)

The strange thing is: when I go to the design properties and manually change the value of vel to, say, 1m/s, the simulation runs fine. The parameter variation is no longer automatic as I want it to be. I have to change vel manually.

If you have any suggestions to make the optimetrics analysis work, kindly help me out. Thank you.

Here are a few things to check:

Check the units of the variable as defined in the Parametric setup.
After the Solution Analyze, you can right click on ParametricSetup1 -> View Analysis Result, select a variation from the table, and click on Apply.  This may help identify which the variations are called and diagnose where the issue is.

It may be that an excitation surface is not being moved with the geometry.

It may be that an excitation surface is not being moved with the geometry.

In my model, the band consists of a moving aluminium sheet and back iron only. The excitation surface (assuming it means the current/voltage sources) lies outside the band and does not move. Is it required to be inside the band?

I checked the parameter unit and it is fine (m/s).
