Hydroelastic simulation using Ansys AQWA

      Hello,

it depends on what your end goal application is but you could also look into coupling Aqwa with Rigid Body Dynamic application if this is relevant to you.

Alternatively, you can break down your cube into smaller shunks which are linked with connections where you can specify  its stiffness and damping coefficients.

      I hope this helps,

      Ingrid

      Hi Ingrid,

Thank you for your quick response. Bascially, my end goal is to get the RAO of my flexible cuboid when its placed on water. I did think about the second option you mentioned which is to break my cuboid into smaller chunks and then interconnect them via connections by specifying the stiffness and the damping coefficients. But, in this case, I was wondering if I could estimate the individual responses of each of the chunks? or does it give the response of the entire structure? Please let me know.

      Thank you!
