The location of the Grand at Moon Palace
The Grand At Moon Palace is located just fifteen minutes from Cancun Airport, making it really easy for you and your guests to get to. After a long flight, you can hopefully have a cocktail in your hand by the pool within two hours of touching down (of course, after you clear customs, get your bags, etc). As you take the 15-minute journey south from Cancun airport, you’ll pull into the property and notice there is Moon Palace and the Grand at Moon Palace. More on that later though!

Calling all foodies… you will not be disappointed by the quality and sheer amount of choice you will find when eating at The Grand At Moon Palace. This is world class dining at its best. There are 12 restaurants for you to enjoy. Here are some of our favorites:
- La Cantina – Traditional Mexican fare alongside live Mariachi bands playing
- The Grill – Argentinian dining with fine wine and top quality steaks
- Jade – A unique Japanese dining experience
- Tavola – An Italian inspired trattoria with delicious fresh pasta options
- Cusco – Colorful and fresh Peruvian cuisine
- Habibi – Enjoy sharing style Lebanese cuisine – you may even be entertained by belly dancers while you dine
You will also have access to 16 delicious restaurants at the Moon Palace Cancun next door.
For your wedding at the Grand, you will find over 20 delicious menus to choose from.
As far as the drinks go, the Grand at Moon Palace offers some of the best brands of alcohol out of all the resorts in Cancun. All of the restaurants have a huge wine selection and let’s not forget we are in Mexico – so you can enjoy over 15 different types of tequila!

Prepare yourself to enjoy an insane number of luxurious amenities and activities during your stay. A diverse group of guests will be entertained with lots to offer for both adults and kids… it’s impossible to be bored here!
There are NINE refreshing pools for you to choose from, some of which are adults only so you can get bottle service as you relax in a cabana.
The Awe Spa is the largest spa of any Palace resort with dozens of treatments available to you all – perfect for wedding day prep and getting ready.

For the kids, you’ll discover mini golf, arcades, a bowling alley and a huge on site Water Park.
For the adults you’ll be impressed by the variety of bars – we love the secret Speakeasy that you enter via a hidden bookcase and can enjoy artisanal craft cocktails.
There’s also a complete program of evening entertainment each night, including a variety of shows to choose from plus a nightclub.
You can also take a beautiful afternoon boat trip to nearby Isla Mujeres, where you can swim and snorkel with dolphins, and enjoy the picture perfect beaches. Some of the trips will also take you to explore ancient Mayan temples.

The rooms at The Grand At Moon Palace are stunning and very spacious, you’ll find six different suites to choose from. The luxury suites all feature hot tubs, two king size beds, aromatherapy, freshly stocked mini bars and of course 24 hour room service.
The swim up suites where you can walk right out your back door and straight into the pool are very popular!
We love the little touches, like a bottle of wine upon check in for every room.

There are so many different and unique locations throughout the resort that you can choose from to host your wedding event. Most of these are tucked-away off the beaten path, so other resort guests won’t walk past your ceremony as you say “I do”. Here are just some of our favorite locations:
Grand Gazebo
A great, mid-size outdoor space with a ceremony setup that can fit 70 guests, cocktail setup for 80 guests, and buffet setup for 40 guests.
Caribbean Beach
Just meters from the ocean, you can use the private beach for your reception, ceremony or your cocktail party with as many guests as you like.
Grand Terrace
A perfect outdoor space for larger weddings, the Grand Terrace can comfortably fit 400 guests with a cocktail setup, and 200 guests with a buffet setup.
The Ballroom
A huge, grand indoor room that can be used for ceremony, cocktail and buffet setups.
Lily Garden
The Lily Garden is a stunning gazebo that can fit 80 guests for a ceremony, and 50 guests for a buffet.

When starting to plan your wedding, you’ll find that there are several all-inclusive and flexible wedding packages for you to choose from. We can help you navigate these options and assist you to find the one that best suits you and your party.
You’ll also be able to customize your experience with a variety of entertainment choices, beautiful decor options, and don’t forget the bridal beauty treatments at the Awe Spa.
Perks, promotions and offers
If you have 25-30 rooms for your wedding event, you’ll benefit from the best perks of nearly all the resorts we work with. You will pretty much earn your reception, your cocktail party and your welcome party for free. If you have 70 guests, this equates to around $5,000 to 10,000 in savings.
The resort also frequently runs promotions that grant you upgrades based on the number of guests that attend your wedding. These are the best perks that allow you to create the wedding of your dreams.
The Grand At Moon Palace’s 2023-2024 wedding promotion allows you to earn $20 per room night to spend on wedding extras such as flowers, the dance floor, and DJ entertainment. If, for instance, you have 30 rooms booked to stay 4 nights each, this could save you $2400 extra to spend on your wedding extras.
Here are some other perks you can enjoy:
- If you have 30-59 room nights booked, you will get 1 hour of a cocktail party for free.
- If you have 75-107 room nights booked, you will receive 9 hours of private events for free. This would fully account for a cocktail party!
- For larger weddings of 108-150 room nights you will receive 10 hours of private events for free.
As long as you book the rooms, you will earn perks – they really do have superb offerings that start to stack up to significant savings for your destination wedding.
Wedding decor
Not every The Grand At Moon Palace wedding has to look the same – they have a decor and furniture catalog that is 98-pages long! You will no doubt have plenty of options to design the wedding of your dreams.
